Pet Weight Calculator Formula

The formula the calculator uses:

Hatch Weight = (Current Weight ÷ Current Age) × 11

Weight at Age X = (Hatch Weight ÷ 11) × Age

Max Weight (Age 100) = (Hatch Weight ÷ 11) × 100

Example: Pet at age 50 weighing 4.5 kg

• Hatch Weight = (4.5 ÷ 50) × 11 = 0.99 kg
• Max Weight = (0.99 ÷ 11) × 100 = 9.0 kg
• Classification: Godly tier

Maximum possible weight at age 100 is 10 kg, achieved only by pets with a hatch weight of exactly 1.1 kg.

Pet Weight Classifications

Pet weight determines which tier classification a pet falls into. These thresholds are fixed in the game.

Why this matters for trading: Two identical pets at age 100 can sit in completely different tiers based solely on hatch weight. A Colossal-tier pet at age 100 is worth substantially more than a Godly-tier pet of the same species hatch weight is the differentiator, not age alone.

Note: A hatch weight of 1.1 kg reaches exactly 10.0 kg at age 100 (Colossal). Hatch weights below 0.78 kg max out at Titanic or lower.

Special Considerations: Mutations Reset Age

When you apply a mutation through the Mutation Machine (costs 500M Sheckles, requires pet age 50+), the pet’s age resets to 1. This is the most overlooked factor in trading.

What this means practically:

• A freshly mutated pet (age 1) will have a very low current weight but its hatch weight is unchanged
• Traders who judge by current weight alone will severely undervalue mutated pets
• Always calculate hatch weight first, then assess mutation bonus, before assigning trade value

Mutations that most affect value:

• Nightmare — applied by Headless Horseman, compounds across lineup
• Disco — 125x multiplier on Disco Bee; single mutation transforms trade bracket entirely
• Rainbow / Prismatic — top-tier rarity, highest value ceiling

Age resets from mutation are not a penalty they’re a buying opportunity if you know how to calculate the underlying hatch weight.

Why S Tier matters: These pets don’t just add stats they multiply the output of everything else in your active lineup. One S Tier pet active changes your session economics entirely.

Outside their specific crop type, C Tier pets contribute nothing. Worth holding only if your garden is built around their trigger crop.

D Tier — Generally Not Worth Active Slots

Pets in D Tier have abilities that either don’t trigger reliably, have excessively long cooldowns, or provide percentage boosts too small to register at any stage of progression. Unlike S Tier which reaches 125x–190x multipliers, D Tier abilities typically offer 1.1x–1.5x on a narrow condition. Not recommended for active lineup at any stage.

Best Active Lineup by Stage

You can run 8 active pets simultaneously (expandable with Kiwi + Eagle passive bonuses). Build your lineup around stage, not rarity.

Early Game (Age 1–30)

• Pack Bee — 3x Pollinate, crops grow faster
• Starfish — XP acceleration for all active pets
• Night Owl — pairs with Starfish to fast-track aging

Mid Game (Age 30–70)

• Moon Cat — 2x grow rate aura, 15-second cooldown
• Dragonfly — Gold mutation every 4.5 min (highest frequency available)
• Starfish + Night Owl — continue XP stacking for newer pets

Late Game / AFK Optimized

• Corrupted Kitsune — 90x–190x mutation chain every 10 min

How to Check Your Pet’s Trade Value

Discrepancies between claimed tier and calculated tier are the most common form of misrepresentation in GAG trading. The calculator removes the guesswork either the numbers match or they don’t.

Common red flag: A seller claims “Colossal” but the hatch weight calculates to 0.6 kg (max weight: 5.45 kg that’s Titanic, not Colossal).
